The Care Panel is an independent publication about arranging care at home in Worthing, Adur and West Sussex. We write for families who have to make care decisions quickly, usually for the first time, and usually under pressure.
What we do
We publish plain-English guides to the practical questions families ask: what home care costs locally, who pays for it, how the council assessment works, and how to judge an agency before you sign anything.
If you want help finding care, we can introduce your enquiry to one CQC-registered agency covering your postcode. We name that agency to you first, and we tell you that it pays us a fee, before anything is sent.
What we are not
- We are not a care provider, and we do not deliver care. That is why we are not registered with the Care Quality Commission.
- We are not a directory of every agency, a price-comparison site or a lead-selling network. We do not send one enquiry to several agencies.
- We do not rank or recommend providers according to what they pay us.
How we are funded
The Care Panel earns money in one way: a fee paid by an agency when we introduce an enquiry to it, with the family’s agreement. No advertiser, agency or funder can buy a place in our articles or change what we write. Our editorial policy sets out how we keep the two apart.

The Care Panel is an independent UK publication, owned and run by The Care Panel. We are not owned by, funded by or part of any care provider or agency.
