Inspection findings in brief

  • We completed this assessment following the previous rating of the service.
  • The provider demonstrated some strengths in maintaining a safety culture, delivering effective care, and promoting person-centred approaches, supported by assessments, care planning, and partnership working.
  • However, these were undermined by inconsistent practice, gaps in staffing, and weaknesses in governance.
  • Although relatives often provided positive feedback, “they are so compassionate,” and people were involved in decisions about their care, gaps in staffing, inconsistent practice, and variable leadership support affected the delivery and consistency of compassionate, person-centred care.
