Since 1 August 2026, 144 new services joined the CQC register, made up of 60 care homes and 84 home care agencies. South East had the most (25). Most have no rating yet, because a first inspection usually comes several months after registration.

Ask who the registered manager is, what other services the provider runs and to see the registration certificate and statement of purpose. There is no CQC rating for a new care home or agency until it has been inspected, so the ratings of the provider's other services are the best guide. The newest CQC ratings.
