The Care Panel is free for families. Care providers pay us, and we tell you exactly how.
What providers pay for
- Membership (£15 a month for home care agencies, £25 a month for care homes): the provider can add its own photos, logo, description, prices, services and availability to its profile, gets a monthly report, and can receive enquiries from families. A member’s profile does not show a box of other nearby providers.
- Featured membership (£149 a month): everything in Membership, plus a place in the “Featured providers” box on nearby town pages. That box is always labelled as paid placement.
- Enquiries (£15 per enquiry for home care, £30 per enquiry for care homes): a fee for each enquiry a family chooses to send to a member. Members buy these in advance as credits.
Claiming a profile is free. Prices exclude VAT. Full details for providers are on For care providers and in our provider terms.
What money can’t buy
- A higher position in our ranked lists. Those follow CQC ratings, how recent they are, and distance (how we rank).
- A better rating, or the removal of a poor one. CQC ratings are shown as published.
- Your details without your say-so. Your enquiry only goes to the providers you tick.
Which providers can receive enquiries
When you send an enquiry, we show you the members near you that are taking enquiries, with their CQC rating. Featured members are shown first. You choose who receives it, up to three. If no member near you is taking enquiries, we don’t share your details at all; we email you the highest-rated providers nearby so you can contact them yourself.
What provider-supplied information means
Photos, prices, availability and text marked “from the provider” or “in the provider’s own words” are supplied by members. Providers must keep them accurate; availability labels expire unless the provider reconfirms them. Where a provider hasn’t published prices, any fees we show are our own estimates and are labelled as such.
