Likely fees
We estimate Mountfitchet House at £1,820–£2,220 a week for nursing care (dementia), based on published prices in the region (Care UK homes publish prices above their area average). Over a year that is roughly £95k–£115k.
Where a resident needs nursing, the NHS pays part of the fee straight to the home as NHS-funded nursing care, regardless of who pays the rest.
If savings are under the upper limit (£23,250 in England), Essex Council may pay part of the cost after a free care needs assessment.

At 3 years old, the rating may not reflect the current team. CQC prioritises higher-risk services, so ask about recent changes rather than assuming the worst.
