NHS-funded nursing care (FNC): what it means
A weekly payment from the NHS directly to a nursing home, towards the cost of care from registered nurses.
It is paid for residents of nursing homes assessed as needing nursing care, whoever pays the rest of the fees. It is a flat weekly rate set each year, and is usually considered when someone is not eligible for full NHS Continuing Healthcare.
